           The Youth Sports Liaison serves as the primary connection between the Athletic Boosters organization and community youth sports programs (feeder programs). This role strengthens relationships, improves communication, and supports alignment between youth athletics and school athletic programs to promote long-term athlete development and community engagement.﻿

           * Act as the primary point of contact between the booster club and youth sports organizations (e.g., youth football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, wrestling, softball, cheer, etc.)﻿

           * Develop and maintain strong partnerships with youth program leaders, coaches, and parents﻿
           &#xD;

           * Set fundraising targets and track progress throughout the year

           * Coordinate logistics including venues, permits, volunteers, and materials

Will there be some special projects that require a little more? Sure. But we'll pick and choose who has time to devote to those things. No pressure. No worries.

           Second, the only expertise that's needed is a desire to do right by our student-athletes and a belief that playing sports in middle school and high school is a good thing for our kids.            The Vice President has three main responsibilities: 1) to serve as the main point of contact for the Season Directors and guide them through their communications with teams to better understand upcoming financial needs; 2) to support the Fundraising Director in their work to increase the number of fundraising opportunities and donations for BWAB and teams; and 3) to assume the duties of the President at any meeting the president is not able to attend, including running the meeting per Robert's Rules of Order and creating and managing the meeting agenda. The Vice President is one of the five positions comprising core WAB representation, nominated and elected annually at the May meeting.

           Alumni Director

           The Alumni Director is the initial point of contact for any Big Walnut alumni associations and/or prospective alumni events, i.e. alumni nights at games or matches throughout the year and sports seasons. The Alumni Director is tasked with building and maintaining relationships with local organizations to expand the alumni network and supporting the Social Media Manager in keeping the alumni area of BWAB's website timely and engaging. The Alumni Director will be selected by the core representatives of BWAB.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Fundraising Director

           The Fundraising Director is the initial point of contact for organizations with fundraising interests with BWAB. Working with the Vice President, the Fundraising Director is responsible for identifying new fundraising opportunities for both BWAB and teams, informing BWAB and teams of those opportunities, and monitoring new and continued fundraising programs to ensure and increase success. The Fundraising Director will be selected by the core representatives of BWAB.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Youth Liaison
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           With a strong youth sports community in Big Walnut, the Youth Liaison serves as the initial point of contact for local youth organizations and is charged with building stronger relationships between those youth organizations and middle and high school teams. The Youth Liaison's goal is to help ease the transition for student-athletes from youth sports to school-based athletic programs. The Youth Liaison will work with the middle and high school athletic directors to provide athletic team information (Final Forms. sports physicals, etc) to incoming parents and student-athletes via the BWAB website. The Youth Liaison will be selected by the core representatives of BWAB.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Season Directors
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Selected by the core representatives of BWAB, the Season Directors represent the fall, winter, and spring/summer sports teams. Their role as the initial point of contact for coaches, parent reps, and/or the athletic department is to help connect those parties with the appropriate BWAB representative in a scaled and efficient manner. The goals are to 1) streamline communications; 2) build consistency across sports; and 3) ensure more productive interactions with all relevant parties. The Season Director will be expected to create and use standard financial resources and templates provided by BWAB to support each of their season's teams and provide an overview of past and forecasted financial revenue and expenses. Season Directors will be expected to gain an understanding via the athletic departments of what revenue comes in per sport (l.e. gate revenue) and what expenditures are being made (l.e. cost of referees). With that knowledge base, the Season Directors will meet with the coaches and parent reps at least once a month throughout their active seasons and at least twice outside of season to review finances and discuss issues and needs. The Season Director will deliver a
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           summary "state of the program" to the board at regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

            Big Walnut High School Athletics is preparing for another exciting year of athletic competition. The school's esteemed athletic programs, known for their excellence and commitment to student development and success, play a crucial role in the overall educational experience.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Over 60% of our student body participates in athletics, and our student-athletes excel not only in competition but also in the classroom, maintaining an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.2.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The 2025–26 school year follows another historic campaign for Big Walnut Athletics.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In 2024–25, we proudly earned the 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ralph Young Award as the top school in the OCC Capital Division for the 5th time in the past 6 years
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           . Our programs also captured 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           7 OCC Championships, 5 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships, and 2 State Final Four appearances
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           . These achievements reflect the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and community. With the momentum built, I am confident that 2025–26 will be an even stronger year for Golden Eagle Athletics.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           At the same time, we continue to navigate rising costs. In recent years, official fees have increased by over 30% and now account for nearly one-third of our athletic budget. The price of essential equipment, from game balls to basic gear, has also risen significantly. While a few of our 32 athletic programs and 52 individual teams generate revenue through gate receipts and participation fees, those funds are used to support other teams that are not self-sustaining. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Big Walnut Athletics remains committed to keeping events affordable for families
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           . Season pass rates have remained unchanged for several years, and single-game ticket prices for the 2025–26 season are $8 for adults and $5 for students, with both cash and online purchase options available. Recently, the Big Walnut Board of Education removed the pay-to-participate fees to even further support our families. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

Through tireless fundraising, sponsorships, and partnerships, the Booster Club provides essential support for equipment, uniforms, team functions, travel expenses, and other critical needs. Their generosity ensures our athletes have every opportunity to succeed.

           Big Walnut High School Athletics is preparing for another exciting year of athletic competition. The school's esteemed athletic programs, known for their excellence and commitment to student development/success, play a crucial role in the overall educational experience. Over 60%(650 plus students) of the high school's enrollment participates in high school athletics. Our student-athletes perform not only on the athletic surface but also in the classroom, maintaining a group GPA average of 3.2.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

Additionally, the costs of essential equipment such as balls and basic gear have significantly risen. While only a few out of the 30 teams generate profits through gate and participation fees, those funds are used to support programs that are not self-sustaining. In short, some sports are costly to maintain and cannot support themselves through pay-to- participate fees in isolation.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Big Walnut High School athletics is committed to reducing costs for families attending games. Season pass rates have remained unchanged for several years.
