The Youth Sports Liaison serves as the primary connection between the Athletic Boosters organization and community youth sports programs (feeder programs). This role strengthens relationships, improves communication, and supports alignment between youth athletics and school athletic programs to promote long-term athlete development and community engagement.

Relationship Building

* Act as the primary point of contact between the booster club and youth sports organizations (e.g., youth football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, wrestling, softball, cheer, etc.)
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with youth program leaders, coaches, and parents
* Attend youth organization meetings or events as needed


Communication & Coordination

* Share updates between the booster club and youth programs regarding:
  * Events and fundraisers
  * Athletic program needs and opportunities
* Promote booster initiatives within youth organizations
* Help align schedules and activities when beneficial


Program and Event Collaboration & Engagement

* Help coordinate and promote joint events such as:
  * Youth nights at games
  * Camps or skill clinics hosted by school teams
  * Community outreach events
* Assist with logistics and volunteer coordination for shared initiatives
* Encourage youth athlete and parent participation in school athletic programs and booster activities
* Help increase attendance at games and school events


Qualifications

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with local youth sports programs (preferred)
* Ability to build relationships with coaches, parents, and community leaders
* Organizational and coordination skills
* Passion for youth athletics and student development
* Prior volunteer or leadership experience in sports (preferred)


Time Commitment

* Term 1–2 year volunteer position, as defined by the organization’s bylaws
* Monthly coordination & communication: 5–10 hours
* Meetings/events: 2–6 hours per event (as needed)
